Sony X900E 4K LED UHD TV - Unboxing

Unboxing and Basic Setup of the Sony X900E Series Television

Hey everyone today we are unboxing and doing basic setup on the sony x 900 e series television it ranges in sizes from 49 inches all the way up to 75 inches and it sits just below Sony's flagship tier the X 930 eat which means it's gonna come with really great picture quality and a ton of features let's check it out

Sony makes unboxing this TV pretty straightforward you just want to pop the top off and a setup guy it's gonna pop right out and this is gonna let you know exactly where all the accessories are in the box here's everything that comes in the box you've got the stand and pedestal here batteries for the remote infrared blaster so you can control other devices in your entertainment system and a big ole power brick supposedly this would be to keep the profile of the TV a little thinner

First we need to assemble the stand so we'll take this decorative gold piece flip it over and you'll notice that there is a numerical code 1 1 2 on the other side then we'll just want to slip this in place over these screws and shove it down exposing the screw holes then it's just 2 screws each side to fully secure it Sony packs this TV with a protective cardboard front so just lay it on a nice flat surface carefully then slide this stand into the bottom of the TV and then we'll have four screws to set it

Now it's time to run power to the TV we'll take the supplied AC cable plug it into the power brake then coming outside of the other side of the power brick is this connector which will go on the lower left portion of the TV right here taking a look at the back of the TV almost all of our inputs are on a recessed side Bay three of the HDMI inputs are located there you do get one rear-facing HDMI input along with some legacy connections

Once fully set up this is a very attractive TV it's got a very thin bezel I like that pedestal not just the look but the fact that it's so narrow that it should fit well on nearly any entertainment stand the profile on this TV is also pretty thin you do have a little bump out in the back like you usually see but because Sony kept the power supply outside of the TV they kept it a little thinner when you turn the TV on for the first time

The x900 ease Android TV operating system will take you through a quick setup wizard and this is where the TV will ask for you Wi-Fi password if you have a Google account you'll want to log in as that's how the TV keeps track of what you'd like to watch and can grant you instant access to any of the videos music or photos you may have with Google the TV will also offer to scan for over-the-air channels through an antenna or program itself to control your cable box

It's worth noting that not only does this TV allow voice search with OK Google but you can also control it with Amazon's Alexa digital assistant using an echo speaker you can also cast content to this TV from your smartphone tablet or PC using Google cast compatible apps
