Soundcore Reached Out to Sponsor Showcase of Their New Liberty 2 Pro Truly Wireless Headphones
Soundcore has reached out to us to sponsor a showcase of their new Liberty 2 Pro truly wireless headphones. They look like nice normal wireless earbuds on the outside, but on the inside, they actually have some pretty interesting tech that helps them produce what soundcore calls in-ear studio performance.
Most earphones use one of two speaker technologies: standard dynamic drivers or balanced armatures. The second type is really popular for earphones that contain multiple drivers, with each driver typically responsible for a different range of frequencies. However, the Liberty 2 Pros actually use both of these technologies. Each earphone has a dynamic driver to handle the low end, which makes sense since that driver is the largest, as well as a balanced armature for the mid-range and highs. Soundcore calls this setup the Astria acoustic audio architecture, emphasizing that the drivers are coaxial, meaning they are lined on a shared axis. This prevents the drivers from obstructing and interfering with each other's sound output, like most multi-driver earphones do.
Soundcore also worked with 10 multi-grammy award-winning audio engineers who provided feedback throughout the Liberty 2 Pro's development in order to achieve a natural sound that doesn't hype up the base or something. What's even cooler is that they made an LTT edition, which has a little tt logo on it. Soundcore is going to be giving away 10 sets of the limited edition exclusive LTT Liberty 2 Pros for free at the link below. If you don't want to stake your future happiness on luck of the draw, you can buy the regular Liberty 2 Pros at a huge discount right now, with an MSRP of $149, but if you use our code linked below to pre-order before midnight on October 8th, you can get them for just $99 while supplies last.
Another unique feature of these is something called Here ID. It was actually inspired by research into hearing aids and is basically an equalizer setting. Unlike the other preset equalizers that are available in the soundcore app, including a few created by those audio engineers mentioned earlier, Here ID is custom tuned for your ears rather than someone else's. Not only that, but it takes into account the fact that your two ears actually hear differently from each other. It works by guiding you through what's basically a hearing test first for one ear then the other and adjusting the levels of various frequencies according to how you hear. This is great for those of us who have ruined our ears riding motorcycles or playing drums or just being old, hey at least I don't rest like an old person.
The app has another trick up its sleeve, the ability to reprogram the earphones' buttons. There's a single button on each earphone to help you play and pause, skip tracks, and summon your virtual assistant. However, if I'm being honest, I'm always a little disappointed when there's no on-board volume control because I don't always want to reach for my phone. Fortunately, the app lets you reassign double taps and long presses so you can customize to your liking.
Soundcore's parent company is Anker, who are well known as a provider for all things charging. The Liberty 2 Pros get the benefit of all that battery technology experience, offering 8 hours of play time on a single charge and an additional 32 hours from the thankfully pretty small charging case. This thing also has a sweet door, with the case supporting wireless charging or fast charging via the included USB type-C cable for acclaimed two hours of playback after just 15 minutes of charging. It comes with other goodies including a generous assortment of silicone ear tips and wings which soundcore says helps lock the earphone in place so you always have a good seal improving bass response.
That's our showcase of Soundcore Liberty 2 Pros, which can be checked out at the link below.
