Your Headphones Are NOT Like This!

I've properly hit the gym but this kind of form factor I've been seeing how useful they are with regular everyday activities so like being in the studio or office I get to listen to my music without disturbing anyone who's editing or shooting something with the added benefit of of being able to talk to anyone without having to pause or turn down my music but I guess we can't ignore the fact that this thing does have run in its name and it is meant to work well if you plan to take it for a run or working out now this thing is dust and water resistant so it's going to be able to handle sweat from a workout with no problem I even bought this super cheap little treadmill for my office off of Amazon so that I can use it at my standing desk since I've been needing to get more walking in lately listen don't get elile but at the fastest speed this little treadmill can put out the open run 2's had a secure enough fit where it stayed put with no problem honestly I've been wearing these things a lot and completely forgetting the fact that I've had them on Comfort is literally perfect here for me at least and I can't even remember the last time I Ed that word in one of my videos now I know everybody's probably wondering what about the audio quality let's be real when it comes to these open ear whether they're headphones or earbuds you're not going to get the same kind of quality you're used to with a closed ear design but when it comes to these Open Designs you want to hear the things going on around you whether that's while you're jogging you want to hear cars or maybe someone calling your name in the office whatever the situation may be you go into a pair of one of these open ear headsets with the idea of having your ears open to the world but I will say this though these are probably the best version of a bone conduction headset that I've ever seen they're using a dual pitch technology here so it uses that bone conduction as well as the air conduction which is the more typical technology that we see with all the other headsets and together it produces a way better sound with the air conduction providing like that extra base and the bone conduction working on everything else now in terms of the overall output these aren't going to get as loud as those closed headsets but I found that even boosting up the volume to 100% gives me that loud output that I'd be looking for if I wanted to use these Outdoors what's great here though is even if you crank it all the way up like this you're not going to get a bunch of crazy Distortion the audio still comes in pretty clearly so you have that to lean on and you get a solid 12 hours of battery life here and you also have Quick Charge which will give you 2 and 1/2 hours of music playback with just a 5minute charge now of course this thing does have built-in microphones and it does use noise cancelling for the mic so if you're running and there's wind it should be able to cancel all that out and it uses AI to do the trick and you guys can hear this quick example for yourself all right so this is a quick indoor test of the audio quality from the microphones now let's go ahead and jump outside just doing a little talking and on the phone all right so now we are Outdoors I've got a creek next to me I can hear some lawn mowers going on in the background and this is how well the AI noise cancelling works with the open run twos now of course you can also use the shocks app with this and within there you can change the different EQ modes so if you want to add some more Bas you're able to surprisingly hear quite a difference between the different EQ settings which goes to show you how well that dual pitch technology is working there uh but you can change here and you can also do multi-point so you can have it connected to two different devices at the same time and one thing I've actually really been enjoying personally with these is the fact that I've been able to listen to podcasts from my phone with these on while having music playing in the background like ambient noise and these are available now and they're going to be retailing for $179.95 I'll of course have links Down Below in the description so you guys can go ahead and pick these up and I got to say I see myself wearing these quite a bit more in the future especially at home since Arie can call me without her having to bite my head off because I can't hear her with another pair of headphones this should definitely keep me safe

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enthanks to shocks for sponsoring today's video so there are two kinds of people the ones who either love or hate earbuds that go directly into your ear and if you've got terribly shaped Ears Like I Do you really don't have many options unless you're using something like the open run Pro twos and these open run twos don't even go in your ears they use an interesting technology called bone conduction and air conduction and I actually got to see it For the First Time ated Event shocks invited me to in New York City where I got to see the announcement and try it out for the first time it was a pretty awesome setup but I know you're not here for that so let's check out the open run 2os with a quick unboxing all right you guys so I have right here the new open run Pro twos now these are the standard retail packaging but I did get sent a special box so let's open that one oh I got to show you guys all right so we've got the open run Pro twos over here retail packaging like we just saw that's what everybody will get look we got another diagram with this one pop it out you can see see the different parts of the earbuds and I think this right here is just like a a small pouch so if you go on a run or something you can take it with you all right so enough of this fancy stuff let's take a look at what's inside of here pop the top ooh I like this case these are the open run Pro twos you also have an area inside of the case to store like your USBC cable this is a USB a to c now compared to like your typical earbuds that sit inside of your ears with the silicone and all that good stuff these are a bit different they've got an ear hook design and they're made to rest around your ears we're regular folks right our audio is probably music maybe a podcast watching some content that is all going to be delivered without it blocking our ears so if you want to go on a run which is why they're called like the open runs uh you have open ears to hear what's going on around you and no need for any special features like transparency mode cuz it don't get more transparent than this so now with these you get a combination of that bone conduction technology and the air conduction which is like the more typical way sound is delivered to our ears and it combines them to create like a very different experience all right but before we actually jump into pairing this up quick look around this this thing has like a pretty small profile in the front you have your drivers back here you have like some controls as well as your battery we have our power as well as volume up and our volume down and on the left side over here we have your multi function button so you can play and pause your music from here and what's nice here is that they've also added your standard USBC charging and that's pretty much it in terms of buttons and controls uh one thing I do like though is that these are magnetic so they kind of stay right there this is the orange version but there's also a Black Version if you want to be a little bit more lowkey I'm not going to lie I'm kind of fing the orange Jean what do you think I'm a black guy you're you're black you are black that is that is true so am I it also comes into two different sizes so depending on how big your head is pick works for you so we're going to try some music out right now see how it does this is actually a really nice Improvement compared to like previous generations and while the audio is probably like the biggest Improvement compared to the first gen we're also seeing improvements across the board like with the battery life the new USBC charging port and some other areas as you can see listed here can it the yeah you know what that's a good idea J we we'll we'll try it out and we can compare it to like uh some like regular earbuds we got the equipment to show you guys what it sounds like yourselves we've upgraded I'll actually take these out for like a run and I'll be physical like I'll sweat and everything now I'm going to be honest with you guys I'm not the kind of guy who's interested in hiking or doing any crazy outdoor activities and it's kind of been a while since I've properly hit the gym but this kind of form factor I've been seeing how useful they are with regular everyday activities so like being in the studio or office I get to listen to my music without disturbing anyone who's editing or shooting something with the added benefit of of being able to talk to anyone without having to pause or turn down my music but I guess we can't audio still comes in pretty clearly so you have that to lean on and you get a solid 12 hours of battery life here and you also have Quick Charge which will give you 2 and 1/2 hours of music playback with just a 5minute charge now of course this thing does have built-in microphones and it does use noise cancelling for the mic so if you're running and there's wind it should be able to cancel all that out and it uses AI to do the trick and you guys can hear this quick example for yourself all right so this is a quick indoor test of the audio quality from the microphones now let's go ahead and jump outside just doing a little talking and on the phone all right so now we are Outdoors I've got a creek next to me I can hear some lawn mowers going on in the background and this is how well the AI noise cancelling works with the open run twos now of course you can also use the shocks app with this and within there you can change the different EQ modes so if you want to add some more Bas you're able to surprisingly hear quite a difference between the different EQ settings which goes to show you how well that dual pitch technology is working there uh but you can change here and you can also do multi-point so you can have it connected to two different devices at the same time and one thing I've actually really been enjoying personally with these is the fact that I've been able to listen to podcasts from my phone with these on while having music playing in the background like ambient noise and these are available now and they're going to be retailing for $179.95 I'll of course
