My 120" Mega Gaming Setup!

**Building a Home Theater Setup**

Today, we're going to build a home theater setup that I'm really excited about. It'll feature two recliners against one wall, a soundbar and projector, which I think will look pretty nice.

To start, let's take a closer look at the ultra-short throw projector that Ken has set up on a table down here. Instead of putting it on the wall or behind us, we're going to place it on this table and have it shoot up onto our projector screen.

As you can see, the TV stand is out of the box, and I'm thinking about how we're going to attach everything together. Ken's actually measured where the projector will be placed, so that's good to know.

This LG ProBeam Projector is totally tiny, but it's a laser projector that will last 20,000 hours. That means we don't have to worry about changing bulbs anytime soon! To get an idea of the size, let's just set it up here and display it on the wall for now.

Wow, it's not even that dark in here, and we can already see the image clearly. The projector is really bright, and with a gray wall like this one, we can still make out what we're looking at.

Now that we have our projector set up, let's talk about the 120-inch screen we've got. I'm curious to know if it will fit properly in this space. Ken's already measured where it needs to go, so hopefully, everything will work out as planned.

With the recliners and good audio, this setup is really immersive. We can watch videos or play games on a giant screen like this one. I think it's kind of overkill, but I'm excited to try it out!

Since our set up is powered by the Xbox One X, we're getting 4K images super-sampled down to 1080p. The audio system, which includes the LG SJ9 soundbar, will tie everything together.

I've got a few Playstations and some other gaming gear on display, mostly for decoration. There's also a signed Game of Thrones poster from George R.R. Martin, but that's about it in terms of actual decor. For now, I'm really happy with what we've been able to set up in this room.

**Giveaway Time!**

As promised, I have an extra LG ProBeam Projector to give away to one lucky winner! Be sure to check out the link in the description for all the details on how to enter.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: en- This video is sponsored by LG.Hey guys, this is Austin.Today we're building a home theater setup.Essentially we'll have tworecliners against this walland soundbar and projector.I think it should look pretty nice.If I can figure out howto plug my chair in.Oh, uh oh. (laughing)You guys look so ridiculous right now.- Ken is extremely comfortable.- You guys can built the rest, right?- Oh, so is this a projectorthat's not wall mounted?- So this is the projector. It's actually an ultra short throw.Instead of putting in on thewall or something behind us,what we're going to do is going to put iton a table down here andthis is going to shoot upat our projector screen.- Yeah, so we just got theTV stand out of the box.So this is what the finish will look like.- No, I don't think itgoes on top like that.- Wait, wait, hold on.- These are screw holes.- You know what, I think that's actuallygoing to look pretty good.- Yeah, not bad.- Have you actually measured this? The projector's going to be little morewider than this, or the screen. So this is our LG ProBeam Projector.Dude, this is totallygoing to fit on this. You actually did a reallygood job picking it out. That's so tiny. What's so cool about this isthat it's a laser projector. Not like a normalprojector where you'll haveto change the bulbs everythousand hours or so.This guy's going to lastyou 20 thousand hours. So what I think we shoulddo is let's just set up hereand display it on the wall.Just to figure out roughly what size.Especially I want to know how far we haveto have it away from the wall.(laughing)Wow, it's not even that dark in hereand we can totally see it that clearly.Look how bright that is!- Yeah, and it's graywall so it's not even--- Ah man, once we getthe projector screen up.So Ken in his infinite wisdom decidedto not just get us projector screen, get the most complicatedand crazy over the top onethat Amazon sells, because reasons. It's going to look nice, if we actuallyget it together correctly. Are you sure the projectorcan do 120 inches?Hi, my name's Ken Bolidoand I'm gonna do the math.- Square equals...120.- Is it actually 120?- It's actually 120.(laughing)- No big deal, minor worrythere, but we're totally fine.Ken did the math,#kendidthemath. After a lot of hard work, we haveour projector screen put together. Now we have to move it back into the roombecause it was too big to fit in therewhen we were trying to put it together. Can this fit through the door?- Not like this, we're gonna--- Wait, so pull the bottom out.So you roll it so that wecan get that side down?It covers the chip andscratch, so we're good. This is our 120 inch projector set up.It took pretty much all day,but I'm pretty happy with it.So, the projector itself is alittle hard to see right nowbecause we have our giant video light, blasting light in the room but I thinkthis actually looks really nice.It does start with the ProBeam itself. What's nice about this is anan ultra short throw projector,it really simplifies our cable management. So, this is all connected toan Xbox One X and a soundbar.Normally we'd have to run an HDMI cablefrom this all the way up to the ceilingor to the wall behind.Instead, because it is soclose, everything can stay hereand you get the addedbenefit of I'm not goingto accidentally walk infront of the projectorand block the screen.Like if I did something like this.So we are maxing this guy out right now.It can handle up to a120 inch screen and well, that's exactly what we're using. So what this means is youhave to be very specificon where you actually place the projector. If you move it closer, it's actually goingto shrink the image. So that's why we have to keep itpretty much exactly right here.We made a slight mistakein actually mountingthe projector screen. If we would have lowered it a little bit,we could probably have tuckedthis setup in by a few inches.Considering it took us liketwo hours to put that together,I think I can live with it.So even in a full 120 inches,we're still getting a 1080p image. If you look up close, you can actuallysee the individual pixels.Once you sit down and kind of lean back,it's really hard to see.Of course, we have nothing but the finestin lean-back technology. When it comes to projector set up,the real advantage is in size. With the 120 inches to work with, that's pretty much biggerthan any TV you can get. When that really comesin handy, is for video.Whether watching a movie or YouTube,it's an immersive experience.Especially with the set upthe way we have got herewith the recliner and thegood audio and everything. It is so nice to just sit backand enjoy whatever you want on this thing.Something like this is usablefor more than just movies. You can game on a 120 inch screen. So yes, is it kind of overkill?Absolutely.Do I care? Nope.Since this set up ispowered by the Xbox One X,we're getting that 4K imagesuper sampled down to 1080and it looks so, so good. Now I do think that it's maybenot the most practical thingto play on such a giant display, but it's going to be hardto go back to a small TV.Every TV is gonna seem small (laughing). No matter how good the screen is,you have to have good audioto tie it all together. That is where the LGSJ9 soundbar comes in.We actually did a videoon this a few months ago. This is the set up that'sworking in the office right now.I liked it so much that I boughtanother one for the house.Of course, nothing can replacea full surround sound setup. But I've been reallyimpressed with the soundthat you can get out of the SJ9.Not only does it have the topfiring Dolby Atmos speakers, but you also have apretty big dedicated sub.So the rest of the setup ispretty much the Xbox One Xas well as a bunch of bits and pieces of.I got some Playstations. We've got the original NES Toploader. Some games, most of thisis really for decoration. But we do have a Hue stripthat's running underneath.Mostly it just lookscool and Ken went crazywith all my video game stuff. So on this side of theroom we have the recliners, which are actually really nicebecause the screen is so big,you kind of have to lay back to see it.There's also an other Hue light over here.Right now I'm controllingit from my Pixel, but I'm actually probably goingto get a Google Home for this side.I also have Google Wifi tucked underneath.Up top here is the onlyactual decoration in the room,a signed Game of Thronesposter from George R.R. Martin.Yes, the room is a little bit bare, there's not a ton ofstuff in here right now.For one day, I'm really impressed withwhat we were able to put together.I actually have an extraLG ProBeam Projectorto give away to you guys.Be sure to check out thelink in the descriptionto head over to Facebookfor all the details.I will do my best to findlinks to all the stuffin the description, including of coursethe ProBeam Projectorbecause LG was awesome enoughto sponsor this whole set up.I'm curious, what do you guys thinkabout the actual set up itself?I think there's definitelya lot more work to do,but I'm pretty happywith how it's come out.Of course, let me know what youthink in the comments below.Anyway guys, thank youso much for watchingand I'm going to go watch this now.
