My YouTube channel has been demonetized (and how much I'm really "losing out" on)

The Day My YouTube Channel Was Demonetized: A Personal Account

I'm sitting here in my creator's studio, surrounded by equipment and screens displaying various stats and analytics. As I look around, I notice 45,000 views and 247 subscribers on my channel. It's a modest following, but it's mine, and I've worked hard to build this community. Today is the day that many of us small YouTubers are being demonetized, and I'm feeling angry, but also determined to explain why I don't think it's going to have as big an effect on us as some people make it out to be.

The news broke when YouTube announced its new monetization strategy. Many of us were shocked and outraged that our channels would be affected in such a way. We felt like the platform was "ganging up" on the little guy, trying to stifle creativity and innovation. But I don't think it's going to have as much of an impact as some people are making it out to be.

As someone who has been monetizing their channel for a while now, I thought I would take a look at my statistics to see how this change will affect me personally. So, let's take a look at my analytics, shall we? My views and watch time have actually taken a dip in the last couple of days, but that's okay. This is what's interesting - my revenue over the last 28 days has reached a total of about $10. That's right, just $10.

Now, let me take a look at my revenue report to get a bigger picture. My channel was monetized in late November, so let's drag that out to there. Ah, yes. As you can see, I've generated only 41 dollars and 22 cents since the beginning of its monetization. And if we look at the last forum with about 30,000 views, I've only generated about $70, which isn't a lot. But what's even more important to note is that you can only withdraw the money when your channel reaches a hundred dollars.

So, remember don't let YouTube's demonetization of small YouTuber channels be the reason that you give up on your dream because you're not actually being limited from the platform at all. Look at it this way - what they're doing is taking away one analytic that shows you a bit of money that you don't have access to at this point. With that, I've said all I have to say about this topic. If you like the video, do like and subscribe to my channel for more content. It's not always going to be tech-related, but anyway... until next time, bye-bye.

And so, here we are - the day when many of us small YouTubers are being demonetized. I'm still trying to process everything that happened, but one thing is clear: this change won't affect me as much as some people might think.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enokay I think I'm ready so today is finally the day today is d-day where mine and many other small youtubers channels are being demonetised and I'm very angry actually no one not and here's why you shouldn't be either when YouTube announced its new monetization strategy that meant that many small youtubers including myself were gonna end up being D monetized there was a huge outcry from the community everybody was saying are you to be destroying the small content creator and how dare you gang up on the little guy like this but the thing is I don't think it's gonna have that big an effect on the small content creator and in this video I'm going to explain why that is the best way to do this is to have a look at my statistics so let's have a look and see why you shouldn't be discouraged from following your dreams as a youtuber okay so here we are in my creators studio and as you can see I have 45,000 600 views and about 247 subscribers at the time of making this video so let's go have a look here in the analytics because that's the most kind of interesting part so if you see here oh well my views and watch time has actually taken a dip in the last couple of days but that's okay this is what's interesting then revenue that I've generated over the last 28 days gets to a total of about $10 okay so now let's go to my revenue report so we can get a bigger picture kind of view of what's happened so my channel was monetized in kind of about 11 November so let's drag that out to there there we go so this is how much money I've generated with my channel since the beginning of its monetization and as you can see it's only 41 dollars and 22 cents which is really not a lot so as you can see there over the last forum with about 30,000 views I've only generated about $70 which isn't that much and to be fair you can only withdraw the money when you're at a hundred dollars so there's no way that your YouTube channel is actually supporting itself financially in any way so remember don't let YouTube's de monetization of small YouTube channels be the reason that you give up on your dream because you're not actually being limited from the platform at all so look at it this way what they're doing is taking away one analytic that shows you a bit of money that you don't have access to at this point and with that that's all I have to say about that so if you like the video do like and subscribe to the channel for more content not like this it's more tech related but anyway until next time bye byeokay I think I'm ready so today is
