Great Sound, Secure Fit: SoundPEATS RunFree Open Ear Headphones Unboxing and Review
**Soundpeats Run Free Headphones Review**
I can see if I want to, I can go over to The Equalizer and adjust the equalizer to whatever I want. You know, if I want to kind of bring up the edges, uh maybe bring up something in the middle here just give my specific preference for taste for music. Or if I wanted to come back here and go to one of their presets, I can come in here and pick let's say bass boost. If I wanted to go back and that's now my preset right, and I can control my volume here too. So, volume up all the way up, and there is also an Adaptive EQ section that you can see here. That if you wanted to it'll basically take you through a series of questions asking you if you hear something, they might do beeps or noises, they say okay yes I heard that or it sounded low, and then it'll adaptively adjust the EQ based on the environment that you're in.
So, as far as the fit goes, I think I can kind of feel these. I'll turn to the side here so you can see. So basically, you have it comes um over your ears here, kind of fits down back behind your neck, and then and then sort of hovers over your ear. Again, like I said that's that's allows you to basically have a little bit more ambient noise in your environment. You can understand what's going around you, especially if you're maybe running out in public or you're in a public space that you want to make sure that you're sort of tactically aware of what's going on around you.
You always want to make sure that you just don't shut off the world. As far as sound quality now that I've got the EQ set up, yeah I mean it sounds pretty good. I think my major sort of note on the sound of these headphones like I had mentioned before is that they're not directly inside your ear, they're not facing directly towards your eardrum. They are kind of hovering on the outside here to give you that a bit more of a comfortable feel and wear while you might be working out so you're not trapping moisture and all sorts of stuff inside there.
That you're not going to get the you know like the massive sort of blow your ears out type of sound. You do get a good sound, it must sound great. I mean I have absolutely no problem with the sound in fact it's something I think I would probably prefer if I was going to be wearing some headphones.
Let's also do a sound test to see exactly how these sound. I'll go ahead and record this uh on my phone here and we'll also compare how the iPhone sounds natively starting off with the phone testing testing one two three four this is audio directly from the phone. This is not using the headphones this is using the audio directly from the phone testing testing one two three four.
And then we will switch over to testing testing one two three four, this is the audio from Soundpeats Run Free Headphones. This is being recorded on my iPhone through Bluetooth and using the noise cancellation built into the soundpeats Run free headphones. I think we have another winner here guys. A couple more stats here it's got Bluetooth version 5.3 a frequency response range of 20 megahertz to 20 kilohertz, maximum working distance is 10 meters play time is 14 hours charging time is about an hour and a half, and the battery capacity is 140 milliamps.
So that should give you an idea generally if that's something you might want to pick up. I will leave the link down below. And again, thanks to the folks at soundpeats for sending these over. These have been awesome to try out but until next time this is Carl from Technical Goodies and I'm out.
WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up everybody this is Carl from technical goodies and today we're taking a look at this an open ear set of headphones now these are becoming wildly popular I think both with people who do a lot of exercising and a lot of people who who are sort of out in public but don't want their ears completely shut off from everything these are becoming a really good option and they're also making them very secure very sort of workout friendly so these are the sound Petes Run free open ear headphones now taking a look at some of the specs here on the box they have an open ear design which means it doesn't go into your ear it sort of sets on the outside and gives you the same sound that you might expect from maybe an in-ear headphone but also allows you to kind of have a little bit of awareness of your surrounding while you're listening to music does have nickel titanium memory alloy neckband wow okay and then food grade liquid silicon body skin friendly and comfortable so that's good so that you won't have to have any sort of reaction if the uh the outer ring going around the back of your neck is sort of touching your neck while you're sweating or working out you shouldn't have any reactions some some of them might have cheaper silicone or different types of plastics that might cause you to have some sort of reaction 16.2 millimeter Ultra large driver units together with their base boost algorithm and make the base more powerful and also do a mic call noise reduction so we'll go ahead and try out the sound from this see if we can actually get some sort of sound tested let you know exactly how the raw audio from these sound thanks to the folks at sound peeps for sending these over so that I can share them with you so in the Box you have the headphones themselves which look pretty nice go check those out here go ahead and take these little delicious Plastics off and also in the box we have the headphone charger and this is actually a USB a to a USBC so it does have USBC charging which is always Pleasant so taking a closer look it looks like we do have basically the part that kind of comes behind your ear here we also have the part that goes in on top of your ear to provide the sound if you look on the front here it has a microphone for if you're having hands-free talking and that microphone is on both sides for stereo and then in order to turn them on you have some buttons right here on the side just hold down the middle button and then it's going to start pairing with my device and now they are connected so let's go ahead and toss these on and see how they sound all right got some music going here so nice I would like it to be a little bit louder I think but that kind of comes with the open ear headphones is that you're not going to get that you know inside your ear sound it's going to be kind of on the outside more of an ambient sort of music and one of the benefits that you will see from most of the sound Pete's earphones is that they're all supported in their mobile app so you can actually download the mobile app here and you can see if I want to I can go over to The Equalizer and adjust the equalizer to whatever I want you know if I want to kind of bring up the edges uh maybe bring up something in the middle here just give my specific preference for taste for music or if I wanted to come back here and go to one of their presets I can come in here and pick let's say bass boost if I wanted to go back and that's now my preset right and I can control my volume here too so volume up all the way up noises they say okay yes I heard that or it sounded low and then it'll it will adaptively adjust the EQ based on the environment that you're in so that is one of the extra things I think with all the sound Pete's sort of earphones headphones earbuds is that they have this extra app that really gives you a little bit more power when you're trying to under Enjoy your music right so as far as the fit goes I think I can kind of feel these I'll turn to the side here so you can see so basically you have it comes um up over your ears here kind of fits down back behind your neck and then and then sort of hovers over your ear and again like I said that's that's allows you to basically have a little bit more ambient noise in your environment so you can understand what's going around um going on if I was going to be wearing some headphones um based on if I'm working out in the yard or if I'm I'm doing something or even sitting down watching TV if I wanted to block out the world I'd go ahead and use my full over the over-the-ear headphones and get them the you know the best sound that I possibly could let's also do a sound test to see exactly how these sound I'll go ahead and record this
