MKBHD Update 10.0! (CES 2014)

Welcome to 2014: A Year of Tech and Exploration

Hey guys, I'm KBD here and welcome to 2014! As we start this new year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the last year. In 2013, I uploaded an impressive 102 videos, which were watched by about 50 million people. It's crazy to think that all those hours of content have resonated with so many of you.

But what's even more exciting is that this marks my sixth year of making Tech videos. That's right, guys, I've spent around a third of my life talking Tech to a camera! What better way to spend your time than sharing your passion with others? And as we head into 2014, I'm eager to hit the ground running and explore all the amazing tech that's coming our way.

Speaking of which, let's talk about CES. If you don't already know what it is, the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) takes place in Las Vegas every year, usually at the beginning of the month. Thousands of companies from all over the world descend upon the city to showcase their latest and greatest tech innovations. And trust me, it's a sight to behold! Hundreds of thousands of people also flock to CES to check out these new technologies, including many of us YouTubers.

As you can imagine, covering everything that happens at CES would be a monumental task for one person. I mean, who could possibly cover all the amazing tech on display? But that's exactly what makes my approach different from some other YouTube channels and blogs. My goal is to curate the absolute best of the best, to give you guys a highlight reel of what's worth seeing.

To make this work, I'll be relying on your help, guys! That's right, I want to hear from you! If you see something at CES that you think would be awesome to see on video, tweet me at MKBHD during the show next week. Maybe you saw something on a blog that caught your eye and you'd love to see more about it? Just let me know!

And don't forget, if you're attending CES in person, come say hi! I'll be there, and who knows, we might even run into each other. The easiest way to keep track of my videos, not just from this week but for the whole year, is to turn on email notifications. You'll get a new email every time I upload a video, so you can stay up-to-date with all the latest content.

I'm also active on Twitter and Google+, where I share additional insights and thoughts about the tech world. And yes, guys, I'm hoping to get verified on Twitter this year! It would be an amazing honor to have that badge next to my name.

So, what can you expect from me in 2014? Well, for starters, we're going to do a ton of comparisons and reviews of the latest tech gadgets. We'll dive deep into each product's features and performance, so you can make informed decisions when it comes to your own tech purchases. And of course, we'll be doing plenty of explained videos, where I break down complex tech concepts in easy-to-understand terms.

I'm also excited to announce the launch of our new setup tour project! Many people have been waiting for this, and we're finally getting started. We'll be showcasing some of the most amazing tech setups out there, from gaming rigs to home offices, so you can get inspiration for your own space.

And let's not forget about all the new technology that's coming our way in 2014! We're expecting a ton of exciting announcements and releases, and we'll be bringing it all to you straight from the source. So, stay tuned, guys! It's going to be an amazing year, and I'm honored to have you along for the ride.

Thanks for watching, and let's get into 2014!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey what is up guys I'm kbd here and welcome to 2014 some fun facts about this last year 2013 I uploaded 102 videos and those videos were watched about 50 million times also this begins my sixth year of making Tech videos which means I spent somewhere around a third of my life talking Tech to a camera basically but what better year to hit a stride than 2014 beginning with CES now if you don't already know this International Consumer Electronic Show happens in Las Vegas every year in the beginning and that's where thousands and thousands of companies will come and show up and show off their latest tech and hundreds of thousands of more people will come to check out that new tech including a lot of us YouTubers so I will be there uh but let's face it I'm one person I can't possibly cover all of CES that's just way too much uh some blogs will do that really well they have a team of people and some YouTube channels will be uploading basically a flood of coverage in an attempt to cover everything but my CES game at least here on the MKBHD channel will be a little bit different I'm going to be on the lookout for the absolute best of the best of what's that CES going to go for a sort of a highlight reel type of approach and figure out what exactly is worth seeing uh but I'm still going to need a little bit of your help for this I'm basically going to ask for you guys to get at me on Twitter at MKBHD during the show next week so you can show me and tweet at me things that you want to see on video uh maybe you saw something on the blog that looked really cool you want to see a video of it let me know I will be looking at Twitter all week uh and also if you see me in person at the show because I'm going to be there and you might be there too get at me in person and let me know so the easiest way to keep track of my videos not only in this week but for the whole year basically uh is to turn on email notifications it's actually pretty simple to do and so you'll get a new email for every upload uh but also there's Twitter so you can follow me on Twitter where where I'll be sort of tweeting the stuff that I don't necessarily make a video about but that's still kind of cool maybe a photo of it or some background information hopefully I get verified on Twitter this year that would be awesome uh and there's also Google+ where I actually am verified where I share not just my own videos but some other stuff that I might find cool so during the whole show at CES I'm going to be posting and sharing the cool stuff that I find and hopefully doing videos about the coolest of the cool stuff that I find and as far as CES predictions go because that seems to be something that people want know I would just expect a lot of pixels a lot of pixels when I get back after the week at CES the Mac Pro will be here the new setup tour project gets underway a lot of people have been waiting for that uh and we just basically get right back into the swing of things for all of 2014 more comparisons more highquality reviews more explained videos more collabs more projects more pixels lots of lots of new technology to explore and hopefully you'll explore that with me this year so thanks for watching and uh let's go ahead and get into 2014 peacehey what is up guys I'm kbd here and welcome to 2014 some fun facts about this last
