Intel I5 9400F VS AMD Ryzen 2600X - $200 shootout! -- LGH

**AMD vs Intel: $200 Price Point Showdown**

We put two different processors from AMD and Intel to the test in Cinebench, a popular benchmarking tool for CPUs. We're running the CPU benchmark on both systems and comparing their scores.

So, let's get started with the Intel i5 90th Gen processor. Here are the results:

Cinebench Score: 22,273 points

Now, let's move on to the AMD Ryzen 5000 series X processor. We have two different models of this processor, but they're both using the same RX 580 graphics card and 16GB of RAM.

AMD Ryzen 5000 Series X Processor ( RX 580 Graphics Card )

Cinebench Score: 29,07 points

Note that we have a full win here on the AMD side. The Intel i5 90th Gen processor scored around 22,000 points in Cinebench, while the AMD Ryzen 5000 series X processor scored over 29,000 points.

As you can see, AMD is currently taking the lead in terms of score. However, we must consider other factors such as price point and performance per dollar.

When it comes to the $200 price point, AMD's Ryzen 5000 series X processor has a significant advantage over Intel's i5 90th Gen processor.

**Motherboard Comparison**

We also want to note that both systems have the same motherboard, Gigabyte RX 580, but with different chipset versions. This is an interesting aspect to consider when comparing these two processors.

As an AMD fan, I've been following their progress for a long time, and I'm happy to say that they're still delivering strong performance at this price point.

While Intel's i5 90th Gen processor has its strengths, it just can't compete with the Ryzen 5000 series X in terms of score. But hey, there's no denying that Intel's processors are still great performers too - we just didn't see a significant difference here.

**Temperature Comparison**

One thing that was noticeable during our testing was the temperature difference between these two processors. The Intel i5 90th Gen processor was running at around 50-55 degrees Celsius, while the AMD Ryzen 5000 series X processor was only reaching temperatures of around 40-42 degrees Celsius.

So, is AMD's processor really running hotter? Well, it depends on who you ask - but one thing's for sure: Intel's processors can get pretty hot too. This just goes to show that temperature isn't always the best indicator of performance.

**Conclusion**

In conclusion, our test results show that AMD's Ryzen 5000 series X processor has a significant advantage over Intel's i5 90th Gen processor in terms of score. And when it comes down to it, if you're looking for a strong performer at this price point, AMD is the way to go.

But hey, don't get us wrong - Intel's processors are still great performers too. It just goes to show that competition between these two big players drives innovation and improves performance for everyone in the end.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enokay guys welcome back to another episode of the last game hunter and yeah we're going to have a little showdown here we're gonna put in tells I five ninety four hundred F against andis 2600 X we're going to find out which CPU is the better buy for $200 that's starting to cool off a bit but it was starting to feel like a pretty decent toaster there for a few minutes he's at Intel's in my opinion seem to be running a little warmer than I thought they would so we have a CPU mark score of 12 5:13 this is on the Intel i5 90 400 F so twelve five one three so twelve thousand five hundred and thirteen is the Intel score now we're going to do the AMD score so it's the 2600 X from Andy now doing the CPU mark from pass marks bench score to see what the numbers are we know that the Intel was around the 12,000 mark we want to see what the AMD hits another thing too is reason why the 50 processors as I was saying the price point the Intel was about $20 more so the X was the processor of choice to go against Intel's price area so these are both no GPU and in the processor as the Intel is an F product and the and E is an X so let's see what the CPU scores are almost finished 89% can you wait so I didn't mean to yell at my camera this is a weird way to do I just want people to see this just to be sure okay so the CPU actually scores 14 318 so we have actually at this point blew away Intel in passmark so the Intel scored about 12,000 unchanged and II scored 14,000 318 it's actually quite a big jump go back to the Intel running Cinebench okay so this is Cinebench and this is the i-5 90 400 F we're going to run the CPU benchmark and see how it does on Cinebench so I want to be fair and give it to different bench test results and I think that's just the right way to do this okay so we're just about done there we go so you can see here I don't know if it picks up on the camera proper but 20 273 points on the CPU so 2273 2273 is the score for the Intel i5 90 400 F now we're going to go to the 2600 from AMD and it is an X therefore we have two different programs telling us the scores so is AMD on top on this or is Intel and everything about on par so let's find out quite anxious to see this score actually we know that the Intel scored around 2200 I believe you'll also notice two guys both systems has 16 gigs around I want to make that clear and both systems are both using an RX 580 they're different rx5 as well they're both the same models they're both gigabyte rx5 80s but they are our x5 80s okay so there was nothing changed in that category whatsoever only the motherboards and the motherboards are still both gigabyte I want to make that clear to just you can't have the same chipset considering the situations of the two different processors okay we're almost done come on Andy who is it you know let me cry Wow so even in Cinebench not as big a leap now again when it comes to the score that could be leaps and bounds I don't know but the Intel scored around 22 and the AMD scores 2907 so we have a full win here on AMD side for dollar-for-dollar guys I don't know if this was beneficial to anybody if you are an Intel fanboy sorry I don't mean to crush Intel I'm not doing this to make him tell look like it's a bad processor they're not they have good product as well I am an AMD guy I've been an AMD guy since back in the days of the 333 with 3d now technology so you can see that I never strayed back to Intel throughout the whole time so I'm not gonna stand here and say that I'm a fan of Intel I haven't been even when they were apparently on top I still say dollar-for-dollar AMD was still the winner if you were spending $300 and you spent $300 on both processors I don't think Intel had a chance but that's not the way the benchmarks went in the past so if we compare apples to apples right now you can see that AMD is now an orange these were both into $200 price points comment below do you like your Intel again nothing wrong with them they will game just as hard but dollar for dollar if I had to buy brand new and I was building from scratch it would definitely be an Andy and my numbers prove taking both processes into $200 price mark I have to say guys I'm I'm impressed like the Intel was also a lot hotter I did find that the temperatures on the Intel we're hitting about the 50 to 55 degrees what check this wasn't horrifying any AMD was standing around 40 42 so there's where one thing that was an argument from a long time ago and certain people in certain computer stores you know who I'm talking about because I'm a computer old sailor you guys know exactly one pointing at stop saying AMD runs hot just funny why didn't wanna make that clear AMD does not run hot anymore you know maybe a thread Ripper but come on thread Ripper 32 cores for 64 cores or whatever 16 course yeah they're gonna run much hotter I get that but when it comes down to AMD versus Intel and a heat situation come on guys you guys need to know the truth deep down you guys know your little Intel's run pretty hot so guys anyway this was just a test of the $200 price point of AMD vs. Intel and unfortunately or fortunately unfortunately for me AMD wins so guys team red is the winner team blue game overokay guys welcome back to another episode of the last game hunter and yeah we're going to
