MacBook Pro SSD Failure - Part 2 - Krazy Ken's Tech Misadventures

**The Windows Installation Nightmare**

As I sat down to attempt a Windows 10 Pro installation on my Mac using the Boot Camp assistant, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was amiss. The process seemed straightforward enough - select the Windows option from the boot picker, and let the installer do its magic. But little did I know, this would be a journey into frustration town.

**The Initial Issues**

As soon as I started the installation process, I noticed that my mouse cursor had grown to an absurd size. I couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all - who needs a giant mouse cursor anyway? But despite my amusement, I knew that this wasn't a laughing matter. The partition table was restored, which seemed like a positive sign, but things quickly took a turn for the worse. When I attempted to install Windows, I received an error message stating that the computer was still using EFI and needed to switch to BIOS.

**The Boot Camp Assistant's Quirk**

Now, I'm no expert, but I did follow all the instructions provided by the Boot Camp assistant. Yet, despite my best efforts, things just didn't seem to be working out. The installer kept complaining about not being able to update the computer's boot configuration, and installation simply couldn't proceed. It was as if the software had a personal vendetta against me.

**The Repartitioning Nightmare**

After realizing that I needed to manually partition the table using Disk Utility, I embarked on what can only be described as a thrilling adventure. I navigated through theDisk Utility interface with ease, or so I thought. But when I attempted to install Windows from scratch, things took another turn for the bizarre. The installer started complaining about needing a GPT partition table, which is exactly what my Mac had.

**The Boot Picker's Tricks**

Next, I decided to try and boot into Windows using theEFI disc. This seemed like a logical step, but little did I know that it would lead me down another rabbit hole of frustration. The installer refused to recognize theEFI disc, citing that it needed a GPT partition table instead. It was as if the software had developed a sixth sense for detecting my every move.

**The Computer's Temper Tantrum**

As I sat there, staring at the screen in disappointment, the computer suddenly decided to take matters into its own hands. The installation froze, and to add insult to injury, the entire computer went dark. It was as if the software had conjured up a storm of frustration and annoyance.

**The End of the Road (For Now)**

In the end, it seems that my Windows 10 Pro installation would have to wait another day. While I may not have solved all my problems just yet, I'm determined to keep trying until I get things right. Who knows? Maybe next time, things will fall into place, and I'll be able to enjoy a smooth, stress-free installation process.

**Will We Try Again Another Time?**

Yes, we will. In fact, this is just the beginning of our Windows 10 Pro saga. Each chapter in this trilogy (and yes, that's what it feels like) will bring its own set of challenges and surprises. From the Boot Camp assistant to Disk Utility, it seems that every step of the way is fraught with peril.
