I've been driving around with no left shift again, and I have to say, it feels so much faster without that feature. It's just too long to cut out the delay, you know? I'm just shifting gears really fast, and it takes a second or two for the car to spool up more after each shift. But when I don't use no left shift, it's like another gear kicks in, and it hits so much harder.
I've been trying to figure out how to make that delay shorter, and I think I might try hooking up a computer to the transmission box and reprogramming it. Maybe I can shave off half a second from the time it takes for the car to spool up again. That would be a big deal, because when you're shifting gears really fast, every little bit of speed counts.
I also have to say that driving with no left shift is just more natural now. It feels like my feet are moving on autopilot, and I can focus on shifting gears really fast instead of worrying about the delay. But at the same time, it's still a little strange not having that feature, because it was always there to help me out when I needed it.
On a different note, I had to deal with my pit bike today, which took way longer than it should have to fix. It looked like it wasn't going to make it, but in the end, it turned out okay. Now that it's fixed up, I'm planning on taking it out for some celebratory wheelies and maybe even a few more tricks.
Speaking of things that need attention, my friend Alberto was trying to fix up an old car with fiberglass, and he had no idea what he was doing at first. But after he got the hang of it, he was able to create this really cool finish on the car's body. It's all about layering on the right amount of fiberglass to get the right thickness and texture.
I also had to deal with a common issue that comes up in cars like mine – the filter getting loose. I know that's not uncommon, but it's still annoying when it happens. Luckily, it was just a matter of tightening everything up properly, and my car is good as new.
When I'm working on cars, I often try to find ways to make things easier or faster. Like the time I had to wash my Mustang in the rain – that was a disaster! But despite the chaos, it ended up looking really nice in the end. And now that I've tuned her up and made some other adjustments, she's running like a dream.
I'm also excited about the progress I've made with my BMW, which is one of my favorite cars to drive. With its incredible performance and handling, it's a joy to take out on the track or just cruise around town. And now that I can shift gears so fast, I'm confident that I can shave off even more time from my quarter-mile runs.
In fact, I think I might be able to beat my personal best time with launch control – which is always a goal for any car enthusiast. It's going to take some practice and patience, but I'm excited to get out there and see what I can do.
Anyway, that's all for now. We'll catch up again tomorrow and see how things are going. And don't worry – we won't be bringing our pit bikes along anytime soon!
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up guys welcome to today's video so the first thing we're going to do alberto as i said has been fitting the sparrow spare arrow I made that up myself on the S 15 pretty much everything looks like it's been lining up pretty well a few little things are gonna need a little bit of modification but Alberto came with a very very cool way to figure out where to put the holes and I thought it would be kind of cool to film it if he heard things about Berta he's very good at like paying way up with his own like little cool nifty little ways to make life easier and there's a hole in the back well you have a blank side skirt it's like how do I know where to put the hole I can't see I can't measure nothing unlike these ones are so close to the edge I just drew a line exactly pointing where it is and the distance from the center hole to this annoying measure over market under the hole so that's easy but on this one I came home with a pretty unique idea that helps a lot since there's nothing behind it and a little like Bracken where it bolts onto its offset from the car so this is what I did we got a nice car battery and I realized Adam have drawers full of like little LED lights so I made my own little like extension kind of thing and a piece of something that we opened so I cut the little for us a stick and I made these terminals already known I was gonna use the battery from the drill for a 16 volt it got really hot so I couldn't even touch it so I was like wait a minute you just put on a car battery but then I may be a little terminal so that won't fit so I use their power probe to pretty much hold it and it wait there so now you have a light and what I do this is white but father guys pretty much transparent right well transparent ish and if you go behind it you can see through right so if I go right where this thing is I can see where the hole is that is so cool sorry goodness I take the sharpie make sure you line up though the thing make sure you actually right behind it and be like oh well it's right here I'm just kind of like drill right there same thing on the other side all the way over here right on it what's so cool is that when we were talking about fitting the extra body panels and stuff I was so confused as to how we'd be able to mark it properly because we could use the old ones as a template but that's way harder and it's not necessarily accurate if there's any variance like a little office it and it's gonna push the power back and forth up and down the one thing that is really nice though because we are using the vertex wide-body vertex stuff is like top notch when it comes to body kit stuff so the fitment and the finish and the consistency between panels is much better than if we are using origin fenders I could do a mass 13 yes check it out that's a leap wait if you're gonna blow up yep my biggest fear well you poked her with a screw I didn't use a screwdriver please please a tire and a DC wrench but a VC coil over range to install a tire I mean I guess it'll work but I'm not doing this so your father can do it for me you know is that miserable what about those like bike shops or something like that or ATV off-roading shop I have like bike tube tire levers they wouldn't do it this thing was so hard of metal tire lever almost ignored didn't you have new tubes and or tires for their different I want to use but well put it art what are you waiting for I kind of want to film you struggling with this trying to remove the tire it's that hard really yes it's like impossible why it's that hard - dry rot it no it's just that stiff it's a tubeless tire so I think that doesn't help either huh it's funny to think at this point so much is gonna get rewrapped for the car but it almost could be wrapped a different color we think if we do two-tone Tommy like like make the white cream and then have like the red accents yeah it's so funny when Tommy thinks he's funny right Alberto I just leave a white ones peel the wrap off of everything else looks like the fitment on the rear is really on point other than that one little issue with a side skirt in the fender fitment looks really really really nice I took that whole like yeah it looks really good how did you guys know there's been a lot of issues at the BMW and when we were troubleshooting trying to figure out all the stuff that was wrong with it one of the things that we did was pull off the wot box that was installed originally on the car just to rule it out as something that might have been tampering with how I was performing and today I wanted to try to put the wot box back on so the guys over at PS I went ahead and put the wot box back on for me so now I have launch control no left shift again and this car feels so much faster with no lift ship it's not even funny because without it it just had followed a boost really hard to take like another second or two to spool up more with the no left shift it hits so I'm gonna tell you tell me for Ryan I think you see me Stoke had so much how can you even tried it yeah but I can see that it just feels very very unnatural driving to the death yeah definitely better than it was but I feel like maybe because I'm just so fast at shifting but like it's too long if I cut like I'm shifted in the gear Hilton released from the clutch ready to go again I wonder if I can hook up a computer to the box and that reprogram that to make that delay because I could I could really split that time in half watch my feet on the next one we'll see how long the cars still on power definitely way faster than was though yeah it's so nice like being immediately back in the gear that feels good compared awesome all Alberto how many times a day would you say you tell me where my camera is when I go and you have you guys see my camera it's a minimum of ten times a day that's pretty bad Shh don't reveal my secrets Oh pit bikes all done and uh took a lot longer than it probably should have so that's kind of annoying but looks way cool now without the drinkie white plastic and now I got wheels that aren't broken so if it wasn't down boy right now I go do some celebrational wheelies but we don't 93 do we to have any in the trailer we could put more 85 in it but I need to change jets do we fill er up dude I had no idea that Alberto knew how to work on fiberglass the next thing I know I turned around and I'll Berta is fooling him a dork at your door cap okay well what is that I've never a west before that's why we glass it is that fin yeah it's just a bunch of layers that's really cool we're gonna be like while you're shutdown you had no idea what fiberglass is but I'm sorry I've never seen this before that's really cool so if you're gonna make this uh-huh there's a mold and you have bigger sheets of this and you just like layer the mold until you get the right thickness that's it that's easy that's are we not specific breathing and stuff in now it's real bad so I think it's about time to try to start the Mustang got a new filter properly torque to Ford spec and just to be clear I know that I've said before that is a very common issue with these with the filter getting loose it wasn't like we put it on wrong or put it on loose in fact I had gotten loose one time in the past where we additionally had to tighten it that's just a thing with these stop you heard that it does that sometimes when it's cold but that kind of sounded like a knock yeah you could turn it back on it does that sometimes with the 85 cold start oil pressure is good sounds okay I know it seems done for whatever reason my logic was the car was half wet see the quick wash it while my washing techniques not sure I'm gonna make sure you get all that nonsense and swirl everything why lots of pressure scrub junk what you missed a spot not go away you missed a spot go away on top of being stupid and wash my car in the rain I thought it'd be a good idea you know what I'm leaving and I'm in a rush to you know just do a quick flash on the tune not realizing it was a long write that takes 20 minutes no it's got wait 20 minutes if I can leave the week on that last flash I play with some of options and I got the no left shift work how it used to be I had it's a combination of the anti shift lag and the MHD software plus the boost box and I was doing a shift on the way home and I swear it shot such a big flame it lit up my whole rear view mirror you're gonna have to wait till tomorrow to see it but the BMW is so good now and I can shift it so fast I bet I could shave a second off the quarter-mile time especially with launch control so it's sick you can tell even though I washed it in the rain doesn't look too bad could definitely use a good clay bar I'm not gonna give you the cringe and go but it sounds like sandpaper yeah she looks pretty nice get again head in the video with a clean car so I will see you guys tomorrow oh yeah and we're gonna go die now that's 15 and get that all fixed up so guess so when you say nobody knows you\n"
