I personally found the addition of a headphone port via poor quality one to be a significant drawback in an otherwise excellent device. The fully complete camera setup and the large 4000mAh power battery, however, more than made up for this shortcoming. For a phone starting at 300 euros, few devices will come close to matching the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail that the Me 9 has demonstrated.
I know many people are going to hate on me for my UI, and I'll admit that I've previously been harsh in my criticism of it. In the past, I've found it to be a horrible user interface, with too many bloat apps and no app drawer on the launcher. But, I'm happy to say that this time around, the Me 9 has made significant improvements. The UI is now more refined and polished, and I can see myself getting used to its aesthetic.
The software, however, is still where the Me 9 falls short. It's not perfect, and there are certainly areas for improvement. But, it's a solid effort, and one that helps to round out an otherwise excellent package. The combination of the Me 9's hardware and software has resulted in battery life that I've never experienced before on a phone at this price point. I've been using the Me 9 for six days now, and I've never finished a charge with less than 30% left. This is a truly impressive feat, especially considering the device's power-hungry system-on-chip.
I also want to talk about the camera performance of the Me 9. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it performed in this area. The three-camera setup on the back is excellent, with the main sensor being the flagship Sony IMX586 chip. While it may not be quite up to the standards of some of the more expensive flagships out there, it's still very good, and I found myself taking a lot of great photos with it. The wide-angle lens was my favorite, as always.
But what really blew me away was the camera performance in video mode. This is an area where many phones struggle, but the Me 9 excelled. I found myself enjoying every minute of using the camera app, and the results were consistently excellent. And, to top it all off, the pop-up selfie camera took some great shots too - even when the subject wasn't exactly enthusiastic.
Of course, no phone is perfect, and there are a few areas where the Me 9 falls short. The headphone port, for example, is just a poor quality unit that feels like an afterthought. And, the speaker is tiny and mono, which makes it sound awful. But, to be honest, these issues didn't bother me too much. Instead, I was too busy enjoying the rest of the phone's excellent performance, design, and software.
Speaking of design, the Me 9 is a true standout in this regard. The carbon fiber-looking shell is absolutely gorgeous, and it feels like you're holding a high-end device that's worth twice the price. And, when you turn it on, the feeling continues - everything from the screen to the buttons feels premium and well-made. It's a truly rare experience these days, but one that the Me 9 delivers in spades.
Overall, I have to say that the Me 9 is my top pick for phones at this price point. Its versatility, performance, software, and battery life all combine to make it an excellent choice for anyone looking for a great smartphone without breaking the bank. And, while it may not be perfect, its design and camera performance are among the best I've seen in this class.
In conclusion, if you're in the market for a new phone, do yourself a favor and check out the Me 9. It's a gem in a pool of pretty rubbish smartphones, and it's definitely worth considering. Thanks to everyone who watched, please like, comment, and subscribe - I'll see you in the next video!
